This amazing blend is made up of 50% Shiaz, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot & 11% Cabernet Franc & was matured in a combination of 30% new & 70% seasoned French & American oak hogsheads for 18 months. Deep crimson red with crimson red mauve hue.The nose is very perfumed delivering aromas of liqourice, dark chocolate, dark plum & confectionary. Generous full bodied flavour profile encased by Henschke's now trademark super fine, silk like tannin structure.Flavours of dark plum, ripe blackberry & confectionary followed by some spice & blackpepper back palate flavours. Long aftertaste of blackpepper, spice & blackberry. Best drinking - 2014-2015 Alc 14% |
