Similar in quality to 2008, the 2009 now for the first time has a small percentage of marsanne included in the blend. 2009 Aeolia is approximately 97% roussanne and 3% marsanne from the Warner vineyard and is totally barrel fermented with 10% new oak.
The nose is complex, spice, meal, fig, apricot and pear, with some oak. Concentrated flavours, exotic spices, hazel and almond nuts, rich and lush, the clean dry finish lingers in the mouth, with mineral flavours and a balanced acidity. Perfect food wine, suited to Asian cuisine and seafood.
